Horry County Schools has launched a new AI Monitoring System ‘Linewize’, which will monitor students’ online activities and improve public safety.

Horry County Schools has taken a big step keeping in mind the safety of students with the start of this new academic year. Now the new system ‘Linewize’ has been implemented to monitor students’ online activities (AI Monitoring System).

This technology will work on all devices issued by the school, such as laptops or tablets. Also, even if students connect to the school’s WiFi from their personal mobile phone or laptop, their online activities will still be monitored.

What is ‘Linewize’ system?

‘Linewize’ is an advanced monitoring system specially designed for the safety of students and public safety. Its main objective is to immediately identify dangerous language, threatening messages or inappropriate searches.

If a student uses any suspicious word or sentence online, this system will catch it immediately.
After this, a real-time alert will be sent directly to the school authorities.
This will prevent any kind of threat, cyberbullying or wrong activity.

What does the Horry County School administration say?

Mike Frederick, who heads Safety and Security at Horry County Schools, said the system is expected to save a lot of time. Earlier, where complaints used to reach the school through many hands, now real-time data will reach the administration immediately.

He also clarified that the personal privacy of the students will be protected. The system will send alerts only on those words or activities that are dangerous or harmful to the students. General conversation, recipe search or sports information will not come under the purview of this system.

Upgrade of security cameras also

Along with the AI ​​Monitoring System, the school administration is also upgrading all the security cameras. At present, cameras have been installed in high schools and half of the work is complete in middle schools.
